Target Group: Middle and Senior level managers of organisations involved in advocacy and campaigning.
Medium of Instructions: English.
Training fee: Rs. 10,000/- for Indian and USD 400 for foreign participants. This covers food, accommodation, field visit, reading material, training kit, certification and other incidental expenses specific to the training programme. It does not include travel, local conveyance, telephone, internet and other incidental expenses which not specific to the training programme.
Training Objective: To equip the participants with appropriate knowledge, attitudes, perspective and skills necessary for advocating the rights of disabled people effectively and logically.
Training content: Analysis of attitudes, Analytical tool to the process of exclusion, People's movements and social change, Advocacy and campaigning, Human rights instruments, Policy and institutional framework, Advocacy/Campaigning tools and techniques.
Methodology: Self learning, presentation, brainstorming, group work, social games, experiential sharing and other participatory methods and approaches.
Facilitators: A group of national and international facilitaters with diverse and wide experience in the subject matter, activists, professionals, practitioners, advocates and self advocates will facilitate the sessions.
