Mumbai Cheshire Home celebrated Mahatma Gandhi's birthday on Sunday 2nd October by joining the first Aditya Birla Mumbai 10K run/walk event, supported by Tata with sponsorship from Glaxo SmithKline. More than 40 disabled children, staff and residents with disability of Cheshire home participated in the event and had a great time.

VFS Global Services Pvt Ltd. was the corporate sponsor for the Mumbai Cheshire Home and 50 participants from VFS Global Services Pvt Ltd. were there to support and cheer the Disabled participants of the Cheshire Home.

Mumbai Cheshire home has a rich history of more than 55 years and was the first Cheshire home started by captain Cheshire outside UK to support disabled people left alone by their families. It has residential, daycare and rehabilitation facilities for disable people and children of all ages, recently a livelihood resource center was started to provide training and placement services for disable persons so that they could be gainfully employed.
